Whew! I had a blast cooking – and eating – our Thanksgiving meal, but I’m glad there are only enough leftovers to get us through the rest of today. This week I’m providing you with a lightened up menu for post Thanksgiving detox, with lots of lean protein and vegetables to support an active fitness routine. We’ll be hitting the gym hard between now and Christmas to help prevent holiday weight gain.
That’s one of may favorite hints for the holidays – store up a little fitness between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Build in a couple of extra workouts each week, and when you cook for yourself, make the best choices possible. It goes a long way toward balancing out the times you have less control over your diet or just want to indulge, like office parties and family gatherings.
